General Counsel - Global Organisation - Ireland

Mared Roberts • April 2, 2026

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Counsel to join a high-profile, globally recognised professional services organisation.

This is a pivotal leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Partner, with responsibility for shaping and overseeing the firm’s legal, regulatory and risk strategy in Ireland. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance on complex legal, compliance and reputational matters, while playing a key role in protecting and enhancing the organisation’s standing.

Leading a well-established in-house legal team, you will oversee a broad remit including engagement contracting, AML, data protection, litigation management and emerging areas such as digital and AI governance. You will also manage external counsel relationships and collaborate closely with international counterparts across the global network.

The role offers significant strategic influence, including regular engagement with executive and board-level committees, as well as responsibility for developing and implementing firm-wide legal and compliance frameworks. You will drive horizon scanning initiatives, ensuring the business remains ahead of evolving regulatory requirements, while fostering a strong culture of ethics, compliance and risk awareness.

This position is ideally suited to a senior lawyer currently operating at General Counsel level, or a Partner/Partner-equivalent in private practice, seeking a move in-house. You will bring strong leadership capability, commercial acumen and the ability to build trusted relationships across a complex, matrixed organisation.

In return, you will join a dynamic and internationally connected environment, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at the highest level of the business.
