An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced legal professional to join a leading law firm as Senior In-House Counsel – Legal Risk & Compliance on an interim basis. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will provide commercially focused legal, regulatory and risk advice across a broad range of business activities.


Key responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating commercial and supplier contracts, advising on regulatory and compliance matters, supporting conflict management processes and providing guidance on data protection, cybersecurity, insurance and AML and risk management frameworks. You will also play an important role in legal operations projects, process improvements and regulatory change initiatives.


The ideal person

You will be a qualified lawyer or have equivalent experience in legal, compliance or risk management, with a proven track record of advising on commercial and regulatory matters.


The successful candidate will be commercially minded, solutions-focused and confident managing stakeholder relationships at all levels. Experience within professional services, legal operations or legal transformation projects would be advantageous.


The role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and a chance to influence - ideal for an experienced legal or compliance professional seeking an interim role (c.12 month contract) within a respected organisation.
