Employment Lawyer, Senior Associate – Dublin/Cork/Galway

Mia Barry • September 1, 2026

If you have spent the last few years honing your skills as an employment lawyer and you want to continue spreading your wings but your firm is no longer giving you the space or support that you need then this is an opportunity worth exploring.

I am partnering with a market leading, employer side practice with a diverse and challenging portfolio of work. A practice clients describe as exceptional with a pragmatic approach and invaluable depth of knowledge. You would be involved with WRC work, advisory and contentious work across an array of clients and the firm enjoy a large network. The role can be based in Dublin, Cork or Galway.

The role will suit an employment lawyer around 4-7 PQE who prides themselves on the quality of their work. The right person will also have a commercial mindset and be keen on getting involved in business development and have an understanding of how a business is run and the importance of making connections. You will be confident and able to meet with clients and run files with minimum supervision. This is a fantastic opportunity to take your career to the next level.

This is a growing team, building on long term success and ambition. The team has a nice balance of work levels, manageable billables and a hybrid work setup – a role where personal time is valued and respected.

Being a part of this team you would have the pleasure of working closely with an exceptionally talented Partner and other lovely people in the team. You can count on getting support and guidance, whilst you will be expected to stand on your own two feet and develop your skills and connections in the market further. Plenty of employment teams can offer you volume of work but only few can offer you the environment that genuinely builds a career.
