Data Privacy Manager – Dublin

A leading law firm in Ireland is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Manager to oversee all aspects of data protection and privacy compliance. Working closely with legal teams and business support functions, you will ensure internal and client-facing operations comply with GDPR, Irish Data Protection Acts and wider international frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage data protection policies, DSARs and retention projects.
· Review DPAs, privacy notices and contractual clauses.
· Support responses to security queries, regulatory investigations and data breaches.
· Conduct DPIAs and maintain the firm’s ROPA.
· Deliver tailored privacy training and promote privacy-by-design principles.
· Act as the firm’s contact with the Data Protection Commission, monitoring regulatory developments and advising stakeholders.
The ideal person:
· Third level qualification in law or a related field, with at least 2-3 years’ privacy/data protection experience.
· Strong background in compliance frameworks.
· Professional certification (CIPP/E, CIPM) desirable.
· In-depth knowledge of GDPR and EU data protection law.
· Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project delivery skills.
