We're working with a top 5 law firm looking to hire a strategic and commercially minded Business Development Manager to support their busy Corporate & M&A team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in business development and marketing within professional services who’s ready to take ownership of a high-profile practice area.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the corporate legal market, including researching trends, competitors, and spotting opportunities.
  • Work closely with partners to shape and deliver on the team’s business development goals.
  • Support pitches and proposals, help prep partners for BD meetings, and coordinate new client initiatives.
  • Boost the department’s visibility.
  • Oversee content creation and marketing materials.
  • Help manage internal knowledge-sharing tools and support cross-functional collaboration.


What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years’ experience in business development or marketing, ideally in a law firm or other professional services environment.
  • Strong experience working directly with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills.
  • Commercially switched on, highly organised, and confident juggling multiple priorities.
  • A degree in marketing, business, communications or similar (or equivalent hands-on experience).

Bonus points if you:

  • Have previously managed directory submissions or legal rankings.
  • Are proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working semi-independently.
