In-House Counsel, Telecoms Dublin € Negotiable
Job Description:
This is an exciting position in the Legal Department of a global telecoms company. It involves working within the close-knit legal team to provide legal support and advice across all areas of the business, in particular dealing with general commercial, telecoms, IT, content, media, brand, online, sponsorship, marketing and consumer issues.
The successful candidate will be required to work on their own initiative in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment, as well as part of a team.
Requirements:
- A solicitor with at least 3 years relevant post-qualification experience in an established law firm or in an in-house role
- The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and good commercial awareness.
- Telecommunications experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Excellent drafting skills
- Proven commercial awareness
- Well developed interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills
- Sense of ownership and responsibility with a proven record of working on own initiative and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Advising on corporate, commercial, telecoms, IT, content, brand, online, sponsorship, consumer, marketing and product liability issues;
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide range of contracts;
- Drafting terms and conditions for new products and services;
- Identifying areas of potential legal risk within the business and advising on risk mitigation;
- Providing training across the business on legal issues;
- Dispute management; and
- Working closely with lawyers from other Group companies on multi-jurisdictional transactions and initiatives
