Tax Partner-Department Head           Dublin           € Excellent

Our Client, is one of the largest, most progressive and dynamic law firms in Ireland. They operate out of state-of-the-art offices central Dublin. An opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Tax Lawyer to join the firm.

Responsibilities:

Establishment of generic taxation practice with focus on the following areas:

  1. Tax advisor for property clients including investment, development and financing
  2. Stamp duty planning
  3. Corporate tax planning, compliance and advisory services for Irish and international companies
  4. Corporate finance, corporate restructuring, mergers, demergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, MBOs, floatations, securities issues and equity offerings
  5. Revenue litigation and settlement negotiations
  6. Tax efficient dispute resolution
  7. Tax planning and advisory services relating to cross border transactions
  8. VAT consulting services
  9. Employee benefits and share incentives
  10. Film, BES and other tax based financing
  11. Capital Tax Planning
  12. Personal Tax Planning

Other:

  1. Recruitment and management of team to develop taxation function - probably two solicitors initially.

Experience:

  1. Six to ten years, preferably qualified as a lawyer
  2. Existing top end accountancy or legal practice background
  3. Experience of international (US / European) transactions desirable
