As part of their continual goal to offer market leading advice and solutions to clients, they are now seeking to recruit a Knowledge Director, to lead the ongoing implementation of their internal knowledge management and professional development strategy.
The Role:
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the following:
- Heading up the Knowledge Department and managing its dedicated staff
- Developing systems and procedures to harness the first class knowledge and expertise of employees
- The Firm's know-how and precedents systems
- The professional development programme
- Co-ordination of projects within their Enterprise Content Management initiative
- Ensuring that knowledge initiatives are aligned with the firm's business development strategy
- Working closely with partners and solicitors on knowledge initiatives to support their practice areas
- Developing innovative knowledge solutions to ensure efficiency of service and best quality client advice
- Taking a pro-active role in deploying knowledge initiatives to new areas of business as part of their Knowledge and Business Team.
The Candidate:
This position is a senior role and the ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor/barrister who can demonstrate experience of leading or supporting knowledge initiatives in a legal environment. The position may suit an ambitious senior Professional Support Lawyer looking for an opportunity to progress his/her career.
This is a vital role and candidates will need to be able to demonstrate:
- An ability to influence partners;
- Strategic thinking;
- Strong negotiation and leadership qualities;
- Excellent organisational and project management skills;
- Knowledge of the role of information technology in supporting knowledge initiatives.
