Clifford Chance has the world's leading global banking practice. They were awarded joint first place for Banking in the latest editions of Chambers and Legal 500. Their banking group comprises 22 partners and around 85 assistants.
THE WORK
Their Banking group is one of the 5 principal practices within their overall International Finance and Capital Markets Business and combines a multi disciplinary practice which stands out from their competitors for the range, calibre and international scope of the deals they handle and advice they provide.
Lawyers in the Banking group have the opportunity to gain top quality experience across the following diverse range of work:
- Acquisition finance (including some securitisation)
- Structured finance
- Syndicated lending
- Housing association finance
- Telecoms financing

- Sovereign debt rescheduling
- Ship finance

EXPERIENCE
They are looking for mid-level banking lawyers with 2-5 years pqe who have experience in one or more of the areas that they handle. The international flavour of the work is well matched by their multi jurisdictional environment. They welcome applications from lawyers from leading firms in jurisdictions such as Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Canada.
In all cases you should have first class legal ability coupled with a practical commercial approach, excellent drafting and communication skills and enjoy being part of a friendly outgoing team.
